Simone Williams has just returned from a winter season training with five time Olympian Robert Dover. In the past Simone has trained with Neil and Cindy Ishoy, Gina Smith, Lisa Wilcox, Cara Whitham, Seigfried Peilicke, and Tommy Serio. She has participated in many clinics including with Ernst Hoyos, Joe Fargis, and Cesar Parra.
Simone Williams has the distinction of having successfully competed in several equestrian disciplines including show jumping, eventing, hunters and most notably, dressage. Career highlights have included completing at the North American Young Riders' Championships, the North American Dressage Championships, and representing her country in international competition at the 1999 Pan American Games where she enjoyed a top 10 finish individually aboard her brilliant mount, Einstein. Simone is currently short listed with her new grand prix horse Wunder Ein. They finished the World Cup season ranked as second in Canada and Fourth in North America. A Equine Canada Certified Level 3 Coach, Simone has the skill to train horses and riders of all ages from the beginning of their competitive careers through to the Olympic level of Grand Prix. As a testament to her coaching abilities, Simone was named the 1989 Canadian Equestrian Federation's Coach of the Year.
In addition to coaching the students at Queenswood Stables, Simone successfully coached the University of Ottawa Equestrian Team, traveling to intercollegiate competitions throughout the United States for five years. She is currently the assitant coach of Canada's Para Olympic Dressage Team. In addition to her equestrian pursuits, Simone enjoys numerous sports including volleyball, ultimate and running and has successfully completed both the 1998 New York City Marathon and the 2001 London Marathon.
